The Kutaraja weaving group was formed by Bank Indonesia, Aceh Province in 2023, chaired by Zulhelmi. Currently, the Kutaraja weaving group has 6 active craftsmen who continue to produce wastra cloth to this day. The woven cloth produced by the Kutaraja weaving group has its own uniqueness and characteristics, namely its motifs are inspired by Aceh's cultural heritage and also from Aceh's typical spice plants which are full of history and meaning, such as the carving motifs on the ancient Acehnese royal fortress, bungoeng lawang motifs, pepper motifs, and others.
