CV. Smart Batik Indonesia (Smart Batik) is an innovative batik company based in Yogyakarta, established in 2018. The company produces and markets unique batik featuring thematic motifs, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, technology, history, geography, fisheries, agriculture, music, sports, engineering, language, and culture. In 2023, CV. Smart Batik Indonesia developed a batik wax derived from palm oil (palm wax), which is more environmentally friendly and healthier for the respiratory systems of batik artisans. By utilizing palm wax, the company successfully pioneered the halal batik industry in Indonesia. Currently, the company engages 60 local batik artisans, the majority of whom are women from rural areas.
