Hasan Batik Bandung

Established in 1978 by the late Drs. Hasanudin, M.Sn., lecturer at ITB, Hasan Batik Bandung pioneered batik in Bandung with the vision of preserving tradition through art and design. Presenting “Contemporary Bandung Batik,” it blends traditional techniques with scientific design, creating innovative and cultural works. Initially focused on home décor, since 2004 the second generation expanded into fashion—hijabs, shawls, pareos, sarongs, shirts, and accessories. Modern, elegant designs have reached markets in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, and the US. Now led by women, Hasan Batik empowers women, holds halal certification, and pursues green industry certification for sustainable global competitiveness.
