Sambal Kupang is a flavorful chili topping made from small clams (kupang), a seafood delicacy from the coastal region of Surabaya, East Java. Its crunchy texture makes it a perfect accompaniment to any dish, and thanks to proper processing, it stays fresh and crispy for a long time.

Machilli DKI Jakarta

MSME Profile

Machili was established in 2018, precisely in Jakarta City. It all started from a longing for the traditional chili sauce recipe inherited from their grandmother. After trying it out and receiving positive responses from friends in the surrounding area, they managed to sell approximately 100 bottles in the first month. Encouraged by the positive feedback, they took the bold step of turning this recipe into a home-based business. Machili focused on various fish-based chili sauce varieties, including sambal teri Medan (anchovy chili sauce), kupang (small clams), salted squid, shrimp, stingray, milkfish, salted jambal fish, and salmon.
