Suwai

Suwai is a social initiative based in Siak Regency that focuses on preserving the sustainable tradition of pandan weaving. Launched in response to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, Suwai supports rural communities by maintaining pandan weaving as a livelihood for artisans. The initiative produces eco-friendly handcrafted products while also enhancing local well-being. Beyond reviving the spirit of mutual cooperation within the community, Suwai empowers women and youth through creative processes and product marketing.
