The name Merigi originates from the Rejang word "Migai/Migêi," connected to the migration of Rejang ancestors led by Ki Geto. In Rejang oral tradition, the saying "Uyo itê sa'ok, keme ami igai belek" reflects the beginning of a journey and the birth of a new community. This philosophy is embodied in the Merigi wooden spoon and fork set — a pair of utensils always used together, becoming part of a family's daily journey. Handcrafted from selected mahogany wood, lightweight and comfortable to hold, finished with natural beeswax coating that makes it food-safe, heat-resistant, durable against breakage, and scratch-resistant.
